JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager
Position description:
With exceptional growth since its inception, Stratus Prep is now searching for a full-time, dedicated Business Development Manager to join its entrepreneurial team and help take the business to the next level. The Business Development Manager will develop and manage sales channels and prospects as well as conceive of and negotiate corporate partnerships, in order to meet quarterly and annual revenue and acquisition targets.

In addition, this individual will be focused on cultivating clients for Stratus Careers, a new division of Stratus Prep focused on career counseling and leadership development. This individual will be responsible for every aspect of the business development function for potential corporate and individual clients, from constructing creative ways to tap into potential new sales channels to undertaking one-on-one consultations to “close the sale.” The candidate who succeeds in this position will have significant growth opportunities within the company including (but not limited to) building and leading a national sales team as the company continues to grow.

Core Responsibilities:
Consult with potential clients to share Stratus Prep and Stratus Careers offerings and describe our unique value proposition.
Develop and execute partnership initiatives with corporations (mid and large businesses and law firms) to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
Create and maintain a prospect database, consistently following up with prospects at the appropriate time.
Qualifications:
2-3 years experience of corporate sales experience (i.e. selling products and services to corporations or individual professionals).
Excellent consultative sales skills, with a natural ability to form strong and personalized connections with prospects and current clients (for up selling).
Outstanding overall communication skills and capacity to modify outreach approaches given context or prospective client.
Proven ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated capacity to be resourceful, adaptable, mature, and upbeat within a small business environment.
Passion for and knowledge of this industry.
Motivation to meet and exceed targets set by firm’s president.
Salary and Benefits:
Commensurate with experience but, in part, proportional to the amount of sales the Business Development Manager brings in. Structure includes a base salary along with an aggressive commission and bonus structure, and exceptional healthcare benefits. JOB TITLE: Director of College Admissions
Position description:
Stratus Prep has had tremendous success in MBA and law school admissions counseling and is now offering college admissions counseling and prep as well. We have the strictest recruitment criteria in the industry. We believe that the top factor driving the success of our college applicants is the quality of the counselors who collaborate with them and a structured process for coaching them. Stratus Prep seeks an experienced insider to the college admissions process to lead the charge in constructing a proprietary methodology for college-bound clients. The methodology would include content and tips for the following:

High School Coaching: Advising clients throughout high school to help them receive admission to the school of their choice.
School Selection: Evaluating the undergraduate schools that are most suited to a client’s interests and objectives. Giving professional and unbiased opinion of prospects for success in applying to those schools.
Admissions Process: Constructing a framework for approaching the applications, while also providing additional insights as the client works through the relevant exercises.
Admissions Strategies: Creating a process for customized admissions strategies, tailor-made to students’ background, interests, and goals. Advising coaches on how to assist clients with mitigating weaknesses and highlighting strengths.
Recommendation Guidance: Guiding clients on the solicitation of letters of recommendation and the choice and management of recommenders.
Application Personal Statements: Ensuring that personal statements convey client’s unique potential as a college student. Offering insider knowledge of the admissions process to help write impactful essays that together, convey the client’s personal and academic self.
Interview Preparation: Prepping for their interviews through brainstorming sessions and mock interviews as well as by offering advice regarding the content and delivery of clients’ responses, non-verbal communications, and appropriate follow up.
Responsibilities:
The Director of College Admissions would not only construct the content and methodology of this new business, but would also coach clients in order to test and modify it. As the new business is cemented, this individual would also hire, train, and oversee other counselors as well. Required Qualifications
Experience in top college admissions office in the last TWO years is a must
College degree from top (ivy/ivy equivalent) school
Prior experience working successfully with college applicants
Ability to structure content and knowledge, in order to create proprietary documents

Responsibilities:
Stratus Prep MBA admissions counselors are offered the flexibility to take on as many or as few clients as they see fit, however, they must complete the admissions process with each client with whom they agree to work. While a significant portion of the counseling will be done over email and/or phone, there will be some initial meetings, milestone updates, and interview preparation which will likely require live meetings on weekends or weekday nights.

Position Description:
Stratus Prep has the strictest tutor recruitment criteria in the industry. We believe that the number one factor affecting student performance is instructor quality, so we hire only the best teachers and tutors, train them intensely, and arm them with a superior curriculum. All of our teachers and tutors have scored in the top 1% on a real LSAT examination (173+) and have at least two years of prior teaching experience. Stratus Prep seeks talented and highly motivated individuals to offer LSAT teaching and tutoring out of our New York location. Teachers and tutors who are able to meet or exceed 20 hours of tutoring per week will be entitled to company healthcare benefits after six months with the firm.

Responsibilities:
The Stratus Prep teachers and tutors must make a commitment to teach evenings and weekends, averaging a minimum of 5 hours of instruction per week. Teachers and tutors must sign a non-compete contract, agreeing not to teach/tutor the LSAT for any other companies or independently. (Note: Stratus Prep does not hire any individuals who are bound by non-compete agreements with other companies.)

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of two years teaching/tutoring experience.

Teachers and tutors who are able to meet or exceed 20 hours of tutoring per week will be entitled to company healthcare benefits after six months with the firm.

Responsibilities:
